It’s the dirt on your boots from the days hike. The lens cap you can never find. The fire you built with your hands, which doubles as the evenings entertainment… sitting there and watching the shadows bounce around as they illuminate the solitude of the mountain. It’s cooking anything in can form. And sleeping in a place you’ve never been, only to wake up to a view you’ve never seen… it’s the nature of the unplanned adventure, but an adventure in nature nonetheless…One of my favorite places around Los Angeles… it’s like a bunch of mini exploratory adventures rolled into one park.My feelings on Coachella can be summarized in this text I sent to the group on day 3:Life lately… it’s been pretty wonderful. 9.3/10. Would recommend.A single dude in his 30’s, with no kids, goes on a Disney Cruise…My parents were in Palm Springs for a few weeks living their well-deserved retirement life… I visited and did a trial run. Retirement suits me well.A few more 📷First camping trip of 2023 was a good one.Another lap around the sun… another ride on the carousel. The Road Trip Has Begun
I set my alarm for 7:30am. I turned on the A/C, got in bed, put on my Apple TV and watched some episodes of LOST (I am rewatching it and it’s amazing… I have forgotten everything!). Then I took some Xanax to help me sleep since I am an insomniac, plus the fact my brain kept repeating one thing over and over… this is going to be the last time I sleep in my own bed for the next 5 weeks.
