A video of Looney Tunes and me reuniting after being gone for 6 days (and the first time I’ve left her)… a dog with abandonment issues and yet she has the most sincere and unconditional love and excitement. That was neat. Loona got a bath for Valentine’s Day and a trim of her paw fur bc she slides around like a drunken deer on wood floors. She did not enjoy either. She did enjoy the spicy Pad Thai noodle I let her try though… she likes spicy foods... anyways, this insta-card is to the sweetest dog there ever was. Goofy, happy, and oh sooo dramatic. As I end one loop around the carousel, and begin a new one, and as one year fades out, and a new one preps to take the stage, it’s hard not to reflect a bit - and think - fuck - these things really seem to speeding up… it’s a bittersweet transition - growing up - you miss certain things of your youth, like being able to sleep through the night and not wake feeling like your back is superglued to your ankles and you can’t turn but only pivot your entire body until you stretch… so you think man, I’m getting old, and wonder how it all went by so fast… but then you think just how lucky we are to continue the adventure… so 🍻 here’s to another ride around, a new year soon to begin, and to hopefully sleeping through the night just once without getting up to pee.I finally left St. Louis today after an extended Thanksgiving holiday… I drove from LA with Loona and figured I may as well make the best of it. And we did.From Mountains to Beaches, from finding the perfect Looney Tunes Rock Profile to looking in my rear view and seeing her goofy face (pic 7 and 8 lol)… this has been an amazing adventure. A big life upgrade thanks to the best companion a guy could ask for and one of kindest and sweetest dogs who has had a rough life until now and deserves all the treats and cuddles. Also thanks to all the people who have been watching this foster fail adoption adventure blossom! It was a wild story that happened quickly and I guess it was all sort of meant to be… I’ve wanted a Husky since I was a kid. And now I got the best one. Introducing, Ms. Nala… ♥️Exploring the infinite abyss.My first ever solo backpacking trip… by far one of the hardest adventures I’ve done. Over 3,500 feet of elevation gained. Over 30 miles hiked. With a pack way over the weight (50-60lbs) I should’ve had… but I mean what happens if 2 headlamps burn out and my batteries don’t work? I needed the extra flashlight damn it!! 🤦♂️ Let’s chalk it up to a wonderful learning lesson that my back is still paying for…Follow Locals Only on Twitter
